Beautiful yellow 1948 McCoy Pottery "Bird of Paradise" double-handled vase. Produced by the Nelson McCoy Pottery Company, this classic piece features an elegant, deeply sculpted bas-relief pattern showcasing an exotic bird perched amidst lush tropical foliage.The vase is finished in McCoy's iconic soft yellow gloss glaze. The double-scrolled ornate side handles flair outward, completing its highly stylized Mid-Century look. Very good condition. There is one small fleabite at the base of one of the tail feathers (see picture 5). Measures 8" tall x 5 1/2" wide. 4 1/2" diameter at the top and 3 3/4" diameter at the base.
