This beautiful, authentic antique English horse brass martingale medallion features a classic "Galloping Horse" (sometimes referred to as a "Rocking Horse") design. Unlike the common mid-century mass-produced reproductions, this piece is a true antique dating back to the late 19th or early 20th century. It features the highly desirable raised "getts" (casting studs) on the reverse side, confirming it was individually heavy sand-cast and hand-finished. Solid, heavy cast brass a rich, undisturbed patina. Measures 3" x 3 1/2". Excellent antique condition. Please see photos.
